The Kuopio Museum's natural history collection is considered among Finland's most significant. At the end of 2008 it comprised a total of approximately 970,000 specimens and documents. The Museum's area of operation is northwestern Europe. The collections, however, are concentrated on eastern Finland. The Museum's international herbarium code is KUO. |
